Architecture and Urbanism program promotes online collaborative activities in partnership with UACJ from Mexico

This semester, the Architecture and Urbanism program started an activity in the “Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)” modality with the Mexican institution Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez – UACJ. The partnership is the result of the efforts of the Division of National and International Cooperation (DCINI) in UNAERP internationalization projects.

The program has synchronous and asynchronous classes, developed jointly between the two institutions, which take place at the course facilities, and are part of the syllabus of the subject “Integrated Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Design Workshop IV”, taught by professors Erica Cristina Cunha, Roberto Luiz Ferreira and Rose Elaine Borges de Melo to the students of the fourth period.

The first action took place on August 15, with the virtual presence of Professor Letícia Peña from UACJ. She presented an overview of the city of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, as part of the content to be worked on at the two universities. On the 18th, it was Professor Erica's turn to present UNAERP’s content to Mexican students.

The coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism program, Professor Edson Salerno, says that a WhatsApp group was organized to promote interaction among students from both institutions. “We will have seven Mexican students participating in the project groups of the subject Atelier IV of Integrated Architecture, Urban and Landscape Projects, students from both countries develop research or data collection related to architecture and also exchange cultural experiences”, he concludes.
