Program Outline

The Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP) is aimed at training highly qualified Master’s and Doctoral students, professionals, teachers and researchers, enabling them to plan and develop scientific studies using interdisciplinary approaches. The program is centered on the two concentration areas: Biotechnology Applied to Human and Animal Health and Biotechnology Applied to Agribusiness and the Environment. The program was also designed to endow students with entrepreneurial skills, management tools, and the ability to transform knowledge into biotechnological products.

• The Program is classified as score 5 by CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Ministry of Education in Brazil) and is part of the excellence group in the field of Biotechnology
• The teaching staff is composed of professors with doctoral degrees from the main universities in Brazil and abroad, who have proven experience in their areas of expertise
