  • Who can enroll in the courses taught in English?

    Any student currently enrolled in a higher education institution worldwide can apply to attend the courses.

    International students enrolled in partner institutions can find information on how to be nominated and apply for an Exchange Program at Unaerp by clicking here.

    International students who are not enrolled in a partner institution must contact the International Office at intercambio@unaerp.br.

  • Type of program

    The courses taught in foreign languages are undergraduate courses, which are not part of a full degree program at Unaerp. Therefore, students attending this program are not elective to receive a diploma.

    Most courses last only one semester.

    After the conclusion of the courses, students will receive a Transcript of Records with the courses and their performances.

  • Application Deadline for International Students

    To study in the first semester from early February to late June: apply until October 31st

    To study in the second semester from early August to mid-December: apply until May 30 th

  • Language Proficiency

    Students whose citizenships are not from an English primary natively spoken language must submit: TOEFL iBT – 70 or IELTS 5.5 or a letter from the partner institution attesting to the student's language level.

    International students are not required to take a Portuguese proficiency exam. However, students applied to courses taught in Portuguese will have to confirm by a formal Document sent to Unaerp International Office that they are aware their courses will be taught in Portuguese.

  • Can I mix and take courses taught in Portuguese and in English?

    Yes. International students are allowed to take both courses taught in Portuguese and in English, and/or Spanish.

    As Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, a greater range of courses are available in this language. Please, consider asking for the list of courses in Portuguese available during your application.

    In this case, international students are not required to take a Portuguese proficiency exam. However, students will have to confirm by a formal document sent by the Unaerp International Office that they are aware their courses will be taught in Portuguese.

  • Course Workload/Credits

    At Unaerp, credits are based on the number of hours students stay in class. In this case, the number of hours of each course does not express activities such as self-studies and homework. The class workload only refers to the time students spend in class with the professor.

    All international students are required to take a minimum number of courses to be considered as full-time students and eligible for visa when applied. The International Office will assist students individually according to their academic interests.

  • Evaluation Criteria

    The final grade in each course is expressed from 0 (zero) to 10 (ten), calculated up to the first decimal place. In order to pass, students must obtain a minimum final grade ≥ 5.0 (five). Students must attend at least 75% of the classes to be approved, regardless of their grades.
