UNAERP Libraries available for the academic community, alumni and visitors


Unaerp Library is a supplementary body, controlling the entire bibliographic collection, classified as a Private University Library. The purpose of the Library is to provide support to teaching, research and extension activities, and is intended for professors, researchers, students, employees, and alumni of the Institution as well as the external community. Its mission is to bring together the bibliographic collection, providing the preservation and dissemination of information and offering a basis for research and development of the programs offered by Unaerp. The headquarters' library has an area of 2,116.85m2 with air-conditioned room measuring with 136 individual study stations on the upper floor; on the ground floor, there are two air-conditioned rooms for group studies, one measuring with 128 seats and the other with 62 seats. It also has a computer lab with 22 stations available for Internet research and armchairs for resting. The book collections are freely accessible and are distributed in three rooms, organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification - CDD, except for legal materials, which are organized according to the Dewey Classification Decimal Doris Queiroz de Carvalho – CDDir. For author notation, the Cutter Sanborn table is used and for indexing and controlled vocabulary, Pergamum Network, National Library and Library of Congress. The collection of periodicals is organized in alphabetical order; rare works are organized according to the CDD. The library offers accessibility with ramps for wheelchair users, computers for the visually impaired, service at an adapted counter, administrative technician trained in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), and a room with scanner for access to bibliographic content for the visually impaired. To consult the University's online catalog available at http://pergamum.unaerp.br, there are 8 terminals for research, 2 of which are adapted to serve People with Disabilities (PwD).
