Two quality surveys of Brazilian Higher Education published in the first half of October rank Unaerp among the best private institutions in the country. The RUF 2019 – Ranking Universitário Folha, conducted by DataFolha Institute and Folha de S. Paulo newspaper, in which the composition of the note includes five aspects: Research, Teaching, Market, Internationalization and Innovation, ranked Unaerp as the 7th best private university in the state of São Paulo and the 20th in Brazil.
On Estadão Guia da Faculdade, conducted by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo and the institute Quero Educação, the methodology used was the evaluation of the programs by professors from the same area, from other institutions in the same region of the country. Each program was evaluated by six professors in its three main items: pedagogical project, faculty and infrastructure.
There were 11,921 programs evaluated throughout the country and 27 Unaerp program from Ribeirão Preto and Guarujá campuses received 4 stars (very good) and 3 stars (good) – in a range from 0 to 5. In this first edition of the Guide, all the undergraduate programs from Ribeirão Preto campus evaluated in the research were starred. Folha de S. Paulo ranking, published on Monday 7, evaluated 197 universities, 105 public and 92 private. In the state of São Paulo, 37 were evaluated. Both nationally and in the state, Unaerp stands out. In the state of São Paulo, ranking in 7th position, and in the country, 20th, among private institutions, consolidate the University of Ribeirão Preto as one of the most important and qualified Brazilian higher education institutions.
Besides the general classification, the programs also obtained evaluations that prove the quality of the teaching practiced here. In the research, thousands of programs are evaluated. The Business Program, for example, 1,555 undergraduate programs were measured across the country. Accounting Sciences were 1,022; Law, 922; Nursing, 790 and Advertising, 322.
All Unaerp programs stood out, especially Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Dentistry, which are among the top ten private programs in Brazil. In the state of São Paulo, the top ten private programs are Law, Physical Education, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Journalism, Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Social Work.
For the programs, the grade consists of two aspects: Teaching and Market. The Teaching aspect has four components and the Market aspect has only one. In this 2019 edition, the composition of the Law programs grade included the percentage of students approved in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions of the Brazilian Lawyers Association (OAB) exam, with weight 38% and change in the weight of the other components: the percentage attributed to the professors’ opinion was changed from 40% to 20% and the percentage attributed to the Market (Human Resources) went from 36% to 18%.
NEWESTADÃO RANKING - The newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo and the institute Quero Educação launched this year – 2019, a quality research in which all Unaerp courses - campus Ribeirão were starred, thirteen with four stars and seven with three stars.
All institutions registered in MEC were invited to participate in the research (universities, colleges, university centers, public and private institutes). To participate in the evaluation, the institution should register and indicate the programs that could receive students in 2019. With this criteria, 28,078 programs were identified and from these, those that have at least one graduated class by 2018 added 11,921 undergraduate evaluations.
The grades ranged from 1 to 5, being 1-bad, 2-regular, 3-good, 4-very good and 5-excellent. These concepts were transformed into stars according to conversion ranges: between 5 and 4.5 - 5 stars; between 4.49 and 3.5 - 4 stars; between 3.49 and 2.5 - 3 stars; less than 2.49 - not starred.
Accounting Science and Software Engineering Programs at Ribeirão Preto Campus and the Psychology and Medicine Programs at Guarujá Campus have not been evaluated because they have not had graduated students yet.
