Last Monday, the 17th, the live “The transformations of the current world and its reflexes in Law” was broadcast on the Unaerp website and on the Unaerp TV channel on YouTube. The event, promoted by the Law course and by the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Law at the University, aimed to update students on the subject and bring information to society, democratizing knowledge.
The coordinator of the Law course at Unaerp and also the event's mediator, professor Sebastião Sérgio da Silveira, highlighted the relevance of the theme chosen for the meeting. “The contemporary world has undergone several transformations. Everything happens very quickly. It is what has been called liquid modernity. Such changes, in addition to producing immediate social results, also have repercussions in law, which is why the discussion of this topic is so important ”.
The debate was attended by renowned jurists, Professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Doctor Antonio de Castro Caeiro, Professor at the University of Paris Nanterre, Doctor Eric Milliard, and Professor at the Law Course at Unaerp and the State University of Minas Gerais, master Marcelo Braghini.
The president of the Academic Center 1º de Setembro and also a student member of the Collegiate of the Law course at Unaerp, student Raphael Eiji Okada, participated in the live and found the debate productive and enriching, in addition to highlighting that the teachers' speeches were focused on thematic of the common good and dignified human development. “Teachers, endowed with ample common sense and based on the robust formation of each, brought light to contemporary conflicts of rights and principles, especially to the understanding of freedom notions, equality and the dissonance that is sometimes promoted between them, corroded by oppression of productive obligations. In this field, the protagonism of Law is inserted, in its clarification and ordering capacity”.
The live, which had 539 simultaneous spectators, is part of the Freshman-Veteran Reception and Integration Program of Unaerp Law course and marked the beginning of the second semester for students.
