Unaerp is evaluated among the 10 best universities in the State of São Paulo

The Ministry of Education (MEC) of Brazil released on Friday, April 23, 2021, the quality assessment of Brazilian higher education and Unaerp was once again classified as Concept 4 (from 0 to 5), for the eighth year consecutive. The assessment refers to data and evidence from the National Student Performance Exam (Enade) and the 2019 Preliminary Course Concept (CPC), which are part of the National Higher Education Assessment System (Sinaes). With the grade, the University is the tenth best Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the state of São Paulo and the fifth among private institutions. In Brazil, it is the 16th best private university. With these classifications, Unaerp moved up three positions in the Brazilian ranking and one position in São Paulo.


INEP / MEC data take into account 2,070 public and private higher education institutions, which represent 79.3% of active HEIs. 24,145 undergraduate programs were calculated. According to the latest education census, these numbers represent 79% of HEIs and 60% of programs offered. The indicators also considered 4,670 stricto sensu graduate programs evaluated.


The evaluation is carried out by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep). The indexes classify institutions and programs on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 and 2 are insufficient and 5 is a maximum score. The indicators determine parameters for MEC to define, for example, the participation of higher education institutions in government programs.


The best in São Paulo and Brazil - At Enade 2019, in which health and technoly programs were evaluated, Unaerp's bachelor's programs were very well evaluated. The Physiotherapy program received a grade 5 and was classified as the best course in the state of São Paulo, where 128 courses, public and private, were evaluated. In Brazil, it is the eighth best course among the 525 evaluated, from public and private institutions.


Along with this maximum score for Physiotherapy, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Physical Education and Production Engineering programs achieved grade 4. Evaluations with grades 5 and 4 obtained in the last eight years have kept Unaerp in the list of the best private universities in Brazil. The annual concepts attributed by MEC are the main quality indicator of Brazilian higher education. The assessment is a complete photograph of undergraduate education level.
