The Director of the Strategic Projects Board and the Division of Interinstitutional, National and International Cooperation of Unaerp - DCINI, Prof. Vanessa França Bonini Panico, participated in the morning of this Friday, 19, of the 17th Regional Conference, held by SEMESP - Union of Maintaining Entities of Higher Education Establishments In the State of São Paulo. On the occasion, Vanessa gave a lecture on Internationalization of Higher Education in Times of Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities.
During the presentation, one of the points highlighted by the coordinator was the work carried out by DCINI, which facilitated the continuation of Unaerp's Internationalization Program, even in the pandemic scenario. “As our work is solid, we are managing to offer students, the academic community and partners, the possibility of an exchange, even without being immersed in the culture of another country”, she explains.
According to Vanessa, the commitment of the University's professors was fundamental for the continuity and success of the Program. “Our faculty left the comfort zone and, within such a challenging reality, this semester, we are offering eight courses taught in English. Thus, internationalization continues through collaborative work”, she says.
The 17th Regional Conference took place 100% online with the aim of exchanging information about higher education with its members and, throughout the event, topics were discussed about the new possibilities for student financing, case presentations and exchange experiences during themed cafes with people from Campinas, Rio Preto, Santos, Ribeirão Preto, Marília and with the state of Minas Gerais.
In addition to Vanessa, the event featured lectures by Rodrigo Capelato, Semesp's Executive Director, Alexandre Mori Semesp's Financing Manager and Dr. José Roberto Covac Semesp's Legal Director.
