The Rector, Professor PhD Suzelei de Castro França, signed the Bilateral Technical-Academic Cooperation Term, between the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation - Fiocruz and Unaerp, last Friday (29). The objective is to set technical-institutional cooperation between the participating institutions, with a view to regional development in Science, Health and Innovation.
“This is an absolutely important occasion, we formalized an interaction agreement with Fiocruz at the national level, consolidating an interaction in research for the development of products and processes aimed at serving the health of regional society”, said the Rector.
The session was attended by the coordinator of Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – Fiocruz, Rodrigo Guerino Stabeli and the health management analyst, also from Fiocruz, Felipe Britto Letieri. For Foundation representatives, the partnership is important to expand research in the Ribeirão Preto region.
“This cooperation agreement brings synergism between the two institutions. We are talking about two centenary institutions and this synergism is important for the development of science, technology and regional health”, said Stabeli. “These are two institutions that have a very good base of actions and initiatives. We can write projects together, identify potential and generate development for the municipality”, added Letieri.
For the Rector, the signing of the agreement is a milestone. “We have here an entire focus centered on health based on research and innovation and, now, we are going to work, in a joint effort, with all the competence installed at Unaerp and Fiocruz. Both partner institutions in this bilateral agreement are fulfilling their mission of putting all knowledge in favor of Science and society”.
