The Graduate Program in Law at Unaerp promoted, on April 13 and 14, the mini-course "Topics in Theory of Law", taught by Professor Eric Millard, professor at the Center for Theory and Analysis of Law at the University of Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense; co-director of the Doctoral School of Legal and Political Sciences and of the Bilingual Master in European Rights; honorary member of the "Institut Universitaire de France" and Visiting Professor at Unaerp Law Program.
According to Juvêncio Borges Silva, a professor of the Program and graduation in Law at Unaerp, the objective of the course was to reflect on legal thinking, with a focus on collective rights. “It is a critical perspective of law, a critical reading, with the intention of leading postgraduate students in a reflection that turns to a critique of law, and at the same time rethinking means of conflict resolution”, says Juvêncio.
For the Post-Graduation in Law student at Unaerp, Cristiane Heredia Sousa, the short course is of great relevance for the academic life of the students. “This course is extremely important because the Theory of Law is the basis of Law, and if we do not understand this area correctly, we end up applying it in the wrong way in Law”, explains the student.
