In September, the Architecture and Urbanism undergraduate program hosts the exhibition “Casa UNA na UNE” at Une Robusti, in partnership with Grupo Mundo Robusti. The event showcases architectural projects developed by students for various spaces, including a bar, office, balcony, dining area, home, and living rooms. The inauguration, part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the program at Unaerp, took place on Tuesday, the 10th.

For this extension project, students received the floor plan and developed decoration projects for the seven environments featured in the exhibition. The interior design projects were based on local needs and were created during the “Interior Design and Furniture” course, taught by Professors Edson Salerno Júnior, coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism program, and Fabiana Miano Mori.

Involving fourth-year undergraduate students, the initiative aims to enhance the academic and professional experience of the students through practical application. According to Professor Edson, “the initiative provides work opportunities through signed monitor contracts, internship opportunities, and helps promote and position the program in the market among architects in Ribeirão Preto and the surrounding region, while also connecting students with events in our field that can expand their knowledge.”

The extension activity is part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Architecture and Urbanism program at the University, founded in 2014. “This partnership gives students the opportunity to participate in a decor exhibition, which is unprecedented and a unique chance to enhance their resumes. For the program, it’s an action that reinforces the quality of education and our strong relationship with the job market,” affirms Salerno Júnior.

According to Architecture and Urbanism professor Fabiana Miano Mori, the experience provides a valuable opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context, allowing students to face the challenges of working on a real project. “Each member of the class brought their unique skills and perspectives to create environments that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable. Collaboration among students was essential to the success of the project, and we can also highlight the use of real furniture, which allowed us to create spaces that are both representative and practical.”

The “Casa UNA na UNE” exhibition will run for 45 to 60 days, featuring voting conducted by a specialized jury of architects, as well as the general public, who can participate through store visits and social media. The two best environments will be awarded.
