Curricular Structure

The program adopts the academic credit system, with 1 credit corresponding to 15 hours of activities. At the discretion of the Postgraduate Board in Environmental Technology, credits obtained in other postgraduate programs of UNAERP and other higher education institutions may be accepted following equivalence criteria.

The center can count on the infrastructure of the Laboratory of Bacteriology and Molecular Biology (LABAC), located in Block J of UNAERP, Ribeirão Preto Campus, which was equipped with financial support from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the institution itself. LABAC possesses a range of equipment that enables experiments in basic and applied microbiology and molecular biology.

Credits for completion of the Master's and Doctoral degrees

The Master’s program requires the completion of 56 credits divided as follows:

• 30 dissertation credits
• 12 credits from completing 2 compulsory courses of 6 credits each
• 8 credits from completing 2 elective courses of 4 credits each
• 6 credits from special activities

The Doctoral program requires the completion of 186 credits divided as follows:

• 150 thesis credits
• 12 credits from completing 2 compulsory courses of 6 credits each
• 16 credits from completing 4 elective courses of 4 credits each
• 8 credits from special activities
