PROF. DR. SEBASTIÃO SÉRGIO DA SILVEIRA RECTOR OF UNAERP - UNIVERSIDADE DE RIBEIRÃO PRETO

Professor Sebastião Sérgio da Silveira, PhD, currently serves as the Rector of Unaerp - University of Ribeirão Preto. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Legal Sciences from Unaerp, followed by a Master's and a Ph.D. in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). Additionally, he completed his post-doctorate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Within Unaerp, he holds the dual roles of coordinating both the undergraduate and postgraduate Law programs. Furthermore, he holds a professorship in the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FDRP-USP).

Dr. Silveira also serves as an honorary professor at the Faculty of Law of Universidad San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru. He previously served as a member of the State Executive Committee of the National Judiciary Forum for Health from 2011 to 2016, operating under the auspices of the National Council of Justice (CNJ). Moreover, between 2022 and 2024, he contributed as a collaborating member of the National Prosecutor's Office Oversight Committee, also under the CNJ. Notably, Dr. Silveira assumes the role of editor-in-chief for both ‘Paradigma’ and ‘Reflexão e Crítica do Direito’ Magazines.

This year, Dr. Silveira received the Order of Merit medal in the "Grand Officer" category, a distinguished recognition for his nearly four decades of service to the Public Prosecutor's Office, notably as a prosecutor in Ribeirão Preto.
