INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION IS A MEETING THEME

The Brazilian Association for International Education (FAUBAI) is promoting today, at UNAERP, the Southeast Regional Meeting FAUBAI-2017 to discuss management processes for the higher education internationalization. The meeting brought to UNAERP, Dr. Bárbara Costa, from the University of Porto, who spoke on Ibero-American cooperation and on the Erasmus program, a study of the employability of young people who had international academic experiences.

The program began at 9:30 am with the opening of Dr. Lívia Reis, from the Fluminense Federal University and representative of FAUBAI Southeast Regional; and by Professor Vanessa Bonini Panico of UNAERP and the board of the institution. Professor Barbara spoke on cooperation and on Erasmus, an impact study on the employability and professional mobility of students who have undergone international exchanges. "It's extremely important," said the professor. "European studies show the impact of internationalization on the professional career. There are more chances to find a good job and stand out in the market, both national and international. "

Also in the morning, after Professor Bárbara's explanation, the challenges of managing the internationalization of Brazilian universities were discussed by Professor José Miranda from La Salle University.

In the afternoon, Prof. Flávia Pires Rodrigues, Brazil Officer at the University of Birmingham and coach and mentor of Confidence Professional & Academic Skills, discussed strategic planning for internationalization. Next, the professors Adriana Maciel and Lívia Reis, from the Fluminense Federal University, talked about the student mobility system implementation, research and internationalization.

The meeting ended with a proposal for themes for 2018. According to FAUBAI treasurer, director and manager of the internationalization program at UNAERP, Vanessa Panico, "it is very important to host this meeting, because it represents recognition for the work that the University has been doing on the international mobility sector. We are investing in exchanges and partnerships, because internationalization is an important differential in the training of professionals and researchers, adding value to the diploma and the curriculum of those who have had the opportunity to live this experience”.
