The athlete of UNAERP / SME Swimming team, Lisiane Destro, won a gold medal for the set of four modalities at the Pan American Swimming Masters in Orlando, USA, which took place between July 28th and August 4th. She swam 50 meters free in 27 seconds, 100 meters free in 1 minute, 100 meters butterfly in 29 seconds and teams’ relay race in 1 minute and 43 seconds.
Lisiane had the assistance of the coordinator, Artur Rizzi, and of the coach, Francisco Menez, from UNAERP. The athlete says that her performance is mainly due to family support and the condition of exclusive mental and nutritional preparation. She also says that she has two swimming inspirations, Joana Maranhão do Brasil and Sarah Sjostrom.
