
Unaerp – University of Ribeirão Preto has seven of its researchers classified in the Latin America 10,000 Top Scientists 2021 ranking, published on the 30th of this month on the AD Scientific Index website. Among those mentioned, five are from the Doctoral and Master's Program in Biotechnology, one from the Doctoral and Master's Program in Dentistry and one from the Doctoral and Master's Program in Environmental Technology.
The AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) is a ranking system that analyzes the individual intellectual productivity of university scientists in various regions of the world and creates a ranking based on the characteristics of these researchers. The classification considers the H and i10 indexes that reflect the citations and authorship publications by the classified scientists.
Professor Yara, from the Dentistry Program, is also ranked among the most mentioned Latin American researchers.
Based on this analysis, Professor Dr. Ana Maria Soares Pereira, from the Biotechnology Program is considered the best scientist at Unaerp today. Next, according to the Latin America 10,000 Top Scientists 2021, the researchers at the University are classified: Suzelei de Castro França (Biotechnology), Yara Terezinha Corrêa S. Souza (Dentistry), Murilo Daniel de Mello Innocentini (Environmental Technology), Ana Lucia Fachin (Biotechnology), Renê de Oliveira Beleboni (Biotechnology), and Elen Rizzi Sanches (Biotechnology).
The ranking evaluated the scientific production of researchers affiliated with 453 Latin American universities. In the overall ranking, Brazil took the top three places and among the top thirty institutions. As a result, Unaerp occupies the 145th position, being the 16th ranked private Brazilian university.
The researcher Murilo Innocentini, represents the Environmental Technology Program in the list of the Top 10 thousand, of the AD Scientific institute.
