UNAERP PROFESSOR ATTENDS THE 'II INTERNATIONAL CO-GOVERNANCE CONGRESS'

Professor Luiz Eugenio Scarpino Junior, from UNAERP Law program, was present at the II International Congress on Co-governance, held from October 9th to 12th, online. During the event, in addition to collaborating with the organization of the program, the professor participated with the panel “Public institutions and civil society: cooperation and dialogue for the common good”.

With the theme “Co-governance as a process of building fraternity in politics, starting from the cities”, the Congress brought together more than 25 countries, with 900 subscribers, over four days. The event sought to discuss alternatives to achieve the administration of governments and cities that have a view towards fraternity, in addition, it brought sectorial debates involving architecture, public health and urbanism.

“The II International Congress on Co-governance was an initiative of civil society entities that aimed to discuss new ways of dealing with the problems of public authorities from the perspective of a co-responsibility for autonomy in which everyone participates”, says Professor Scarpino.

In his panel, the professor addressed the main institutional, legal and political threats already faced by Latin American countries - mainly Brazil - with a focus on possible alternatives to mitigate such risks.

"I tried, in each of these activities, to work on alternatives that could have a possibility of evolution, focusing exactly on the citizen and on how they should interact and how important they are, so that problem solutions take into account self-responsibility", reports Scarpino.
