From November 23rd to 25th, the 33rd Unaerp Physiotherapy Conference took place. This year, the event had a special program to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Physiotherapy program, in addition to bringing professionals from the area to present students with content that is beyond the walls of the University.
Held in partnership with the Physiotherapy program Academic Center.
, the Conference promoted cycles of online lectures, in addition to mini-courses that were held at the Unaerp Physiotherapy Clinic. During the event, students were able to get in touch and discuss topics such as entrepreneurship, experiences in the palliative care unit during the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to participating in workshops such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in adult and pediatric patients and Microneedling.
For student Paula Caroline Santos Nogueira, from the 8th period, it was gratifying to participate in another Physiotherapy Conference. “We learn very important things, which add up to our practical and academic life, making us more confident for the job market. The event brings together experienced professionals in the field, who have been working for a long time. This helps a lot, because it gives confidence to have a notion of what a professional career is”.

Preparing students to enter the job market is precisely one of the objectives of the Conference, says student Vitor Malvestio Lima, president of the Academic Center for the Physiotherapy program - one of the event's organizers. “The Conference brings a lot of courses that promote the student to experience various subjects of physiotherapy that we are not always able to include within the undergraduate program”.

35 YEARS - This year's Conference celebrates 35 years of Unaerp's Physiotherapy Program. According to coordinator Carla Adelino Suaid, the celebration portrays “a course trajectory that comes every day seeking the best training for our students. Looking at this training, we understand that we deliver to society a professional attentive to the best practice of assistance to the community. It is a reflection of excellence in training, with social, civil and professional responsibility”.
This objective, for the student Paula Caroline, the University has fulfilled with honor. “Unaerp has been fundamental for me. I say that this is my second home, as it has provided wonderful professional experiences. It has been very rich in everything I have lived. It just made me recognize that I am in the right profession and that helping others is what I was born to do.”
